Head over to the Textile Stories blog, set up and managed by former colleagues in the School of English at the University of Chester. I’ve just published a post, co-authored with my Dad, telling the story of a felt comb-case I stitched together and embroidered back in the mid-1980s.

The blog is designed to promote and accompany the Textile Stories event being held at the University of Chester on 15 June 2013. I’ll be speaking at this event, in a joint talk with Deborah Wynne, about film representations of Miss Havisham’s wedding gown from the 1940s to 1990s.
